Upgrade to fiber and reduce system cost with our high-volume optical solutions.

TVs, set-top boxes, game systems—consumer electronics gain big advantages with fiber. And now, so can you. In addition to our fully integrated subsystems and AOCs, Inneos offers components for qualified opportunities with volumes of 100,000 and more per year. This gives you access to all the benefits of our patented CWDM technology, along with the flexibility to customize your fiber interface, protocols, and more.

Features & Benefits

The CWDM Advantage

Well established in telecom and datacom, Coarse Wave Division Multiplexing (CWDM) uses multiple wavelengths of light on a single fiber to increase the bitrate as well as extend the distance over fiber.

Optical Subassemblies (OSAs)

Inneos has been developing and manufacturing CWDM optical subassemblies for almost 20 years. We have the IP, proven designs, manufacturing technology, and experience necessary to enable high-volume CWDM applications.

Highly Robust VCSEL Lasers

Unlike other fiber solutions, multimode fiber (OM3 or OM4) can be pulled and field terminated to the desired length providing installers with unheard of flexibility.

Challenges in Optical Subassembly Development

  • Intellectual property – Inneos has a fundamental patent portfolio covering CWDM optical design, implementation, and manufacturing
  • Laser placement precision – Sub-micron placement of lasers to align beams into the optics
  • Precise optic alignment – Sub-micron “tip and tilt” alignment of mirrors to properly fire the beams onto the fiber
  • Filter assembly – Proper filtering of different wavelengths of light
  • Design for manufacturability – All of the above into a package designed to enable low-cost automated manufacturing process
  • Manufacturing process – Tight integration of manufacturing with design and years of process refinement in order to achieve high yields at low cost

Component sales are limited to high-volume applications only. High volume is defined as greater than 100,000 units per year. Opportunities must be qualified in advance of engagement.
